This Hudson has been kept in beautiful condition. At the time of filming, approximately $20,000 of major improvements were made to restore this vehicle to a state of excellent drivability and reliability. These improvements include a brand new 350 Chevrolet complete engine with 300HP, new TH 350 transmission, and new front and rear suspension. Additionally, the vehicle outfitted with new radial tires, new brakes and a new air conditioner. The interior was also restored with new seat and door coverings, new trim, and updated carpet for a clean and comfortable feel, without losing the classic look. The paint, redone at the same time, is the original Hudson Burgundy. The radio and antenna are original to the car.
