Vehicle description

1941 Hudson Commodore 80 Years Young – Beautiful in and out – Drive Her Home I am selling my 1941 Hudson Commodore Six. This 80 year old beauty is in absolutely wonderful condition, inside and out! She’s been very well maintained and garaged for over 55 years. This car is a head-turner and crowd pleaser. I personally believe this was Hudson’s classiest model, with a stylish exterior, graceful lines, and attractive detail throughout.
S he has a 1946 grille. Can"t say for sure why, but it"s been there since the 2nd owner bought her in 1976.
Exterior: The body is in very good shape and straight as an arrow. Underbody is also in great condition and very solid as per body shop inspection. You will love the beautiful styling, the running boards, the fashionable 2 tone paint, the distinctive grill and hubcaps, and the chrome styling throughout the car. The car is solid, not rusted or rotted, but there is one small hole in the trunk interior because of a rubber seal leak in the trunk lid. Pretty sure the car was repainted some years ago, but still has a beautiful shine. All windows work, including the vent windows. Doors line up, trunk is clean and even has the original tire jack. There are some imperfections but pretty minor for an 80 year old car. All new wide whitewall tires. Interior: The interior was redone a while ago and is gorgeous. Looks like a limo. The seats are as comfortable as a couch. The dashboard is beautiful and the headliner is in great shape. Gauges work: fuel, engine temperature, speedometer, and odometer (says 38,000). Oil and generator indicator lights, push button starter, and headlights work, as well as the windshield wipers and heater. The cigarette lighter and clock are not working. The original car manual is in the glovebox. The floor mat has the Hudson insignia. Mechanical: It starts easily and runs well. There are no leaks (pretty good for an 80 year old car!). I believe most of the mechanics are original and it is a 6 volt positive ground. Newer fuel line, oil pan, flushed radiator, brake lines, rear drums and brakes, hoses, muffler and some exhaust pipes, battery, cables and plugs. Look at all the pictures and the videos. The condition of the car shows just how well it’s been cared for. I’ve tried to describe my car accurately and honestly, but I’m not a tinkerer or mechanical at all so I invite you to check out the car personally or have it professionally inspected if you’d like. Feel free to call me at with any questions. I’m selling the car locally so I reserve the right to end this auction early if necessary. Please do not bid unless you are prepared to purchase. $500 deposit must be received within 24 hours of auction"s end (paypal is accepted). Full payment must be received within 7 days of auction"s end by cash or wire transfer. All funds must be cleared before car leaves. Car must be picked up within 7 days of auction close. I will gladly assist if you plan on shipping, but you will need to make the arrangements and are responsible for all shipping charges. Good Luck. You will love this car. CLICK ON THE 4 VIDEOS BELOW

More info on the Hudson Commodore 6 Sedan The Commodore debuted in Hudson"s 1941 model line. Commodore models rode exclusively on the 121-inch (3,073 mm) wheelbase. The Commodore was powered by Hudson"s 202 cu in (3.3 L) I6 producing102 bhp (76 kW), or by Hudson"s 254.4 cu in(4.2 L) I8 that produced 128 bhp (95 kW). The Commodore series was Hudson"s largest model range in its debut year, consisting of sedans, coupes, and convertibles. Hudson used a forward hinged hood that opened from the rear by the windshield with the front end of the hood sliding downward over the grille. Elements of the interior and exterior were styled by Betty Thatcher, "the first woman designer to be employed by a car manufacturer" [isdntekvideo]
