Vehicle description

Here is an exceptional 1947 Hudson truck. This truck is not a patched up junker. It has been lovingly cared for and restored a while ago by a very fussy professional restoration firm. The attention to detail is amazing. Notice the mud flaps, radio antenna, original engine and transmission, the extreme quality of the front grill and bumper plating, the running board rubber, door seals, windshield rubber, etc. are all like new. It still has the original radio that may work with some coaxing. When I purchased this truck I had it very carefully inspected by a professional Hudson restoration firm. They gave me the 2 thumbs up on the truck for quality and authenticity. They also said they believed the wood in the bed could very well be the factory original. This truck is that sound. The seats and door panels etc. are all very good. The carpeting could be shampooed and used, but it is off color and dated. The attention to detail when restored is impressive. Notice it has curb feelers on all four sides. The restorers added sexy turn lights to make it safe on the streets. Notice the heavy duty rear bumper, complete with a trailer hitch. That opens up a whole new chapter in what you can do to enjoy this truck. (The camper shown does not come with the truck. This auction is for the truck only.) Notice the correct fog lights. The steering wheel is not all cracked. The dash looks great. The bed side board rails were built by a master woodworker and were added for originality, but may be easily removed. The odometer shows 78,000 miles. Due to the great condition of this truck, I believe they may be original. The truck just had a carb rebuild, new points, plug wires etc., new intake and exhaust manifold gaskets… new battery and the list goes on and on. It starts right up and runs and stops fine. The engine appears sound and dependable. It was completely and meticulously rebuilt during the older restoration and has not been driven much since then. But, because this is a 72 year old vehicle, even though it is in exceptional condition, it is being sold as is where is with no warranties whatsoever. The paint has some minor blemishes from time; water spots etc. The truck is very presentable as is, or detail it out and it will not take much to make it a show stopper. As always, buyers are encouraged to make an on site inspection of vehicle before bidding. My buy it now price is way below the going price for Hudson trucks of this quality. You will not find one and restore it to this quality for my buy it now price. On May-27-19 at 09:15:32 PDT, seller added the following information: The question was asked if the paint is show quality. It is not currently. When the truck was professionally restored years ago, it was, but now it has minor imperfections from time like water spots etc. The bodywork etc are still show quality. It would only take a quick paint job and carpet replacement to make this a consistent show winner. It might win or place at shows now as it is a great original condition with patina, but I own several show cars and I would not put this one currently in their class. Even the inside of the bed steel walls have no noticeable dents or imperfections. This truck was a very good original before a very good professional restoration several years ago. It is very presentable as is, but currently not a true A+ show winner in my opinion. It wouldn"t take much to make it a show winner.
I have lowered the buy it now price and lowered the reserve to $27,000. This truck will be sold.
