Vehicle description

1947 Hudson Pickup truck PROJECT. Things have changed since I last ran this ad so read carefully. Chassis is rebuilt and powder coated. Someone, before I got the project, started a museum quality restoration and rebuilt the rear end, drive shaft, trans, and front suspension. The steering box was disassembled and never put back together so you have to turn the front wheels by hand to move the truck around. Bed is mounted on chassis with red oak floor and stainless rails. There are 4 doors. All sheet metal body parts are there. Have the head light assemblies and front fender lights. Just about everything is there NEW to rebuild the original 212 straight 6 including valves, new Factory camshaft, gasket set, re-babbited rods, fuel pump, carb.- -I think the only thing needed is to have the mains babbited. Gas tank has been powder coated. Rims are powder coated with unused firestone truck tires, beauty rings and hubcaps. Brakes are rebuilt and UP but you won"t be able to get into the cab because it will be packed with body parts. A lot has been done here. There is a radio. The only thing I have not seen is the pitman arm, some internal parts for the steering box and drag link which is the same as the 6 cylinder Hudson.car in 1947. There may be other missing items so I won"t say it is 100% complete. There is a shop manual. Not a clue what the actual mileage is on this 70 year old vehicle. I also have new rubber for the running boards. Added photos of about 10 plastic bins in the barn filled with all the little parts plus a new clutch and disc. The radiator is perfect. The dash and front sheet metal are the same as the Hudson passenger cars of the same year. The paint is a 1954 Oldsmobile combination- -Glade Green Metallic and Maize Cream. Buyer is responsible for loading of vehicle and shipping. Everything will be packed on to the rolling chassis.
