About this vehicle This 1947 Buick Special is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. I will assist in loading and can hold while you make transport arrangements if needed Vehicle Details Up for sale is a rare 1947 Buick Special 2 door fastback coupe/sedanette with fender skirts and seargent stripe side trim Car starts right up every time and runs smooth, transmission shifts fine, brakes work great. Small squeaks and rattles like a 74 year old car and does drip a small amount of oil. Tires are good, all lights work, windows function up and down, all glass in intact, Speedogas gauge, and and original radio do not work. Wipers are Vacum and work intermittently. Previous owner installed an aluminum radiator with an electric fan which is manually controlled, original radiator is included. The car looks better in pictures than it really is, this is a 20 footer painted by the previous owner 47 years ago. The paint has its fair share of blemishes and touch ups, touched up surface rust alongside some of the trim on the front fenders, an area on the hood was taped up and amature sprayed to repair damage from a carburetor fire. Chrome bumpers and stainless trim are driver quality, pot metal trim parts have pits The original interior is showing its age, front seats are worn, rear seat is intact but stained, mohair headliner is dirty, carpet needs to be replaced The front drivers side floor pan needs to be replaced, it has a temp patch laying on top of the rusted floor. The rest of the floor, the trunk has 2 small holes, frame is solid with surface rust only. I’ve described as best I could and I’m sure there’s more. This is not restored, this is not a show car, this is a driver quality car than you can drive as is and work as you go or go nuts and restore it.
