Vehicle description
Exceptionally rare and desirable 40-5267 convertible coupe. There were only 425 examples built during a very short production run of only 17 weeks. Very few remaining with only 28 cars documented as surviving. This was the final year for LaSalle production. The car has been is storage for about 40 years. It is extremely solid and a great candidate for restoration or custom. The engine is a 1950s Cadillac overhead valve V8. Unfortunately is not running and doesn"t turn over. The car has a clear Michigan title. The body has almost no rust at all. There is a small spot of rust through in an isolated area of the floor. The car is 99% complete. I do have the original wheel covers for it.
This car would make an incredible project to restore or build into an outrageous restomod with a contemporary driveline.
Please ask your questions prior to bidding. I"m happy to provide additional pictures as well as provide a real time video conference tour of the car. We encourage personal inspections and will do our best to accommodate your schedule. This car is being sold "as is, where is" and without warranty of any kind.
