Vehicle Details 1939 Oldsmobile F70 Sedan - In Line 6 Stock Original, 6 Volt, Three on the Tree, Restored, Solid Steel, Runs and Drives. NEEDS WORK SEE DESCRIPTION. It was in storage for over a year. The car was completely restored; interior, exterior and engine less than 10 years ago. Interior is period correct and professionally redone (all hand done including the paint see pictures - not a kit). Engine is Stock 6 Volt all original. Everything is period correct and complete. Here is the major things that need attention; It has some white smoke when running and driving; I am not a mechanic but a mechanic told me that he thinks it is "blow by" and probably needs either rings replaced and/or cylinder sleeves and new rings. The brakes work but need inspection. Minor things: The steering wheel has cracks in the grip and will need to be restored or leather wrapped, The driver's side window is cracked and will need to be replaced (have window), The clock and radio are present but do not work. The trunk lock was chromed over when they re-chromed everything. There are two small holes (smaller than a dime) in the head liner which could be fixed very easily. The carpet could use a cleaning but is in good shape otherwise. There is some surface rust on the under carriage but not through rust that I can see just needs to be put on a lift sanded and recoated as I haven't done it in a while. The engine and engine bay could use a touch up but looks good as is. It is a truly beautiful car that someone with more knowledge or a good mechanic that knows in-line six engines could easily repair and have a stock original that was well maintained for years and then sat for a year or so. PLEASE NO TIRE KICKERS, DREAMERS, OR LOW BALLERS. I do not need the money whatsoever and if you look at the car you will realize that I have way over the asking price just in the restoration parts invested previously. This isn't a POS or some shade tree mechanics franken car like all the other listings I have reviewed in this price point. I hope that you will love this car as much as I have it is a real head turner and stock original. I have other vintage cars and I just want someone else to enjoy fixing and driving a vintage car as much as I have enjoyed this car.
