Vehicle description

1937 Cord 812 Westchester: Oldsmobile Tornado drive train, automatic, air cond. power steering and brakes. The body and interior were completely restored to original and the Olds engine and front wheel drive transaxle were installed approximately twelve years ago. The body, interior and paint are in excellent condition and still looks very good. Tires are like new, Coker white walls. I have owned the car fo two years. The car runs and drives, but I never registered it Everything works, but some things need attention. The shift cable needs adjusting, the pointer on the shift indicator does not line up properly, You have to "fish: for the :gears" but the transmission works fine otherwise. The power steering is very light, I was told there is a reducer valve that restricts the flow of the fluid through th power steering pump and tightens up the steering, the tow-in on the front end needs adjusting and one of the rubber boots on the front axle is ripped or is loose. Not a problem is the radiator, it is mounted under the car with a dual electric fan and works fine. Even though I never registered the car I drove it quite a bit and it never ran hot. I am to old to address these issues and can"t find any one locally to work on it. They all want me to convert it to rear wheel drive or restore it to original for $20.000 or more. Now it"s just sitting in storage. so I"m putting it up for sale. Hopefully someone with more mechanical abality than me can fix these issues and have a beautiful classic with all the modern conviences to drive.
Connecticut does not issue titles for cars over ten years old, however I have the clear Michigan title from the previous owner. Thanks for looking.
