Vehicle description

1994 TOYOTACOROLLA WORKING –with a new battery (maybe alternator, too) and fixed brakes – see details below PLUSES · Only approximately57,000 miles on current engine · 2 Ownerssince car purchased new · Mostpaperwork documenting repairs and replacements present · Car actuallyruns pretty well (notwithstanding the issues detailed below). If you need a cheap working beater car thiswon’t take a lot of immediate investment to work for you. · CHEAP MINUSES · Needs newbattery and currently will NOT start. (It was running fine, but then sat for several months. Thought after AAA jumped it and it ran for 45minutes the battery would be charged enough to start it again, since the AAAguy ran the test and said it had about 28% life left, and it is less than 3years old. But, nope. It still will not start on its own and Icould not get it to jump start. It needsa new battery. I think this is all thatis wrong with it, but I would not absolutely rule out the alternator needingreplaced. Please be aware.) · Brakesworking but VERY squishy. Almost have topush to the floor. It was low on brakefluid and so I filled it up about 5 months ago, and it was better immediatelyafterwards. It sat undriven (note dead batterycomment above), but when jumped and driven it was back to being very badbrakes. Hole in a line somewhere? Not sure. · Driver sideoutside door handle physically broken off…it can still be used to open the door, but tricky to do and requires knowledge of how and some practice. Unfortunately, the inside handle is also morerecently broken, so until they are replaced, somebody is going to have to learnthe trick to using the broken outside handle. · The middleconsole, around the emergency brake, is broken, and you can see exposed wiringunderneath. · Front seatshave a cover, but it is nasty. Back seatsdo not have a cover and are nastier. · There isrust and NUMEROUS aesthetic issues to the car, inside and out. Way too numerous to list. To say that this is a junker, is anunderstatement. That said, it is a junkerwith very desirable parts. If you are looking at this listing you probablyalready know this. The car wasowned by one party, after being purchased new, and then was given to daughterabout 4 years ago. We put $2,000+dollars into the car to get it running well enough for her frequent return triphome from school near Pittsburg. One ofthese major repairs included replacing the engine. Our wonderful mechanic found one with about54,000 miles on it, and talked the selling party down in price to a remarkable$500 for the engine. That is the onethat is inside the car now, and she has put, at most, 3,000 miles on enginesince then. The odometer reads 228,739,but the engine has less than a quarter of that on it. The engine work was done by a private partyoff the books, and unfortunately I do not have any paperwork for it. Look at my 100% feedback here and realize Iam an honest seller. This car isa beater. That said, put a battery in it(and maybe an alternator), and fix the brakes and it should run fine. If you would rather part it out, you can makesome money on it, too. Your choice, butplease be prepared to tow it, or jump it and realize that the brakes are notgreat on it, as is. Local pick-uponly. If it does not sell, it will bedonated to a charity. Thanks forlooking! ! Your satisfaction is important tome. Any and all questions answered, andhappy to send more pics / info etc. Please look at my feedback and buy with confidence! !
