Vehicle description
After eleven years of ownership I’ve decided to sell my 1955 President Speedster. My speedster is listed in the President Speedster roster and is one of approximately 250 roadworthy examples left. Much has been done to the car since I acquired it. Most recently, the 259 CI engine has been overhauled with most parts purchased from Dave Thibeault including the .030 pistons and stainless valves. I will supply available invoices and documents for engine work performed. Also a factory correct 1955 three speed overdrive transmission with a Hurst Syncro-lock shifter have been installed. The car has been converted to a 12 volt negative ground electrical system for better starting in any weather conditions and better lighting for nighttime driving. Additional work includes brakes, NOS fuel tank and lines, new carpeting and head liner, wide white wall radial tires front coil springs and bushings with recent front end alignment. This is a very solid car with its original sub floor boxes. There is a small split on the drivers side lower cushion and a couple of rust bubbles on the right lower corner of the trunk lid due to a clogged drain plug. Please forward any questions or concerns to me and I’ll be happy to answer anything I can. This Speedster has always been a pleasure to own and drive and gets a lot of positive attention wear ever it goes. If your considering buying a Speedster, this is truly a nice one thanks for looking. Please note the state of Maine does not title antique vehicles the car will be sold with a bill of sale only
