Vehicle description
Original southern vehicle so very, very little rust. We bought this a little over 4 years ago when we had 4 school aged children. One now is working, one is a mother and on her own and one is getting ready for college; we really don"t need a full sized SUV anymore and it time for this to go to the next family for fun road trips.
We have traveled a lot with this to Colorado, Florida, Canada, and all points in between. We used this for our move from Maryland to Ohio and were able to tow large, loaded trailers without missing a beat. The tires were replace a few years ago and still have good tread and are all matching. The AC was just serviced last September before a trip to Florida and blows cold. The blower motor was just replaced and the oil was changed last week before a trip to southern Ohio. The longest trips we took were each just over 2500 miles; we have never been left along the side of the road. If it doesn"t sell, we will probably use it for our yearly family trip; this time to Louisiana. I would not hesitate to drive this anywhere.
There are some blemishes on the hood where the clear coat has pealed and there is some rust (about 6 inches) on the rear of each rocker panel. The running boards are very solid and there is no rust around any of the wheel wells. The tow hitch and light connection work as they should. The DVD player works well once the vehicle warms up (not so well on cold mornings). It will need new headphones for the DVD player but they are standard IR headsets. The rear wiper does not work. There is an after-market radio installed to provide the back-up camera. The original radio will be provided in case you want to re-install it. There was an after-market interface installed so that the steering wheel controls and the On-Star interface still work. I was just told the valve cover gasket on the driver"s side has a slight leak. The transmission shifts smoothly in all gears. One TPMS sensor is missing so the low tire pressure light is always on.
This is not a perfect vehicle; it is 14 years old and has over 200k miles but that being said, it is a very good vehicle.
