1992 Ford Explorer 5 speed 4wd 68,500 miles NO RUSTWashington State truck. 4.0L V6. This vehiclewas on Bainbridge Island, Washington since new. The island is connected to Seattle with aferry. Being a Pacific Northwest vehiclethere is no rust. It was shipped to theEast Coast in 2021. I purchased thistruck in 2021 from a dealer specifically because of the manualtransmission. Truck is a pleasure todrive, always maintained. Recent work inpast year includes all new Ford Motorcraft shocks, control arm bushings,battery, trailer hitch,. Truck starts,runs, drives, idles, steers and stops exactly as designed. Pleasure to drive and shift. See video of highway driving – does notwander. Interior is apleasure everytime you open the door. Not sure if it was ever a family SUV, for certain there were no dogs orkids in back seat. Rear seats looknew. Driver’s seat shows minor wear, seevideo. Remaining of interior is tight,tidy, clean and odor free. There is a 3/16”hole in headliner between the mirrors. Hardly any wear and tear inside. Plastics like dash and instrument cluster are not faded from sun like someSouthern vehicles. Dome lightswork. Power windows fly up anddown. Power windows work. Visor vanity lights work. Power windows work. A/c works. Cruise control works. Rear wiper and sprayer work. Stereo stopped working. Retractable original cargo cover rolls outand retracts back in properly. Exterior isstraight, deep blue paint. The Explorershows really nice, no bashes or collision damage. There a few scratches, paint imperfections and pings over the decades. I didn’tappreciate these Explorers when they were out in early 1990’s, now plenty offolks admire it when fueling up or taking kids to sports practice. The tailgate opens completely as a hatch, orjust the glass opens to load. The pistons work on both the glass andtailgate.
