Vehicle description
Honda S2000 from the year 2000. This is a first series car know as an AP1, with the 2 liter engine that redlines at 9k RPM. I am going to assume that if you are considering this car, you know the engineering background and why so many critics and owners love it. I purchased it with 35k miles and have maintained it since. In addition to regular oil changes with synthetic, the gear oil, rear diff oil and coolant have been flushed and replaced 4 times since I bought it. The valve lift has been adjusted twice and the timing chain checked just because I take care of my cars. Clutch hydraulics were replaced a few years back. The engine starts, idles and revs like the day I got it, and the transmission shifts as smoothly as you would expect if you have driven one. Only a few minor upgrades that mades sense.
The OEM radiator had a plastic reservoir on top which cracked so I replaced it with a Mishimoto all-aluminum racing radiator.
The OEM convertible top had a plastic back window that aged so I replaced it, 2 years ago, with a Robbins canvas top with a glass back window.
The original mirrors suffered fading paint so I replaced the with APR racing mirrors.
Honda recognized that the AP1 wheels were undersized and fitted larger wheels on subsequent models. I replaced the wheels with Enkei PF01s designed for the S2000. 17x8 on the front and 17x9 on the back. These rims maintain the high OEM offset values and therefore fit properly.
The car has a new windshield and I had the prop shaft replaced recently as the U-Joints were aging.
This is not a new car and I cannot offer any warrantee. It has very reliably made the 20 freeway miles to work and back for me, but past performance is no guarantee of future brilliance. The driver"s seat is comfortable but shows age and wear. There are some small rock chips in the paint as you would expect. A small door ding. I am trying to give the complete picture. The car presents well as I hope the pictures show. I"ll try to respond quickly to any questions.
