Vehicle description

Vehicle Details This 1991 Mercedes-Benz 300SEL was sold new in San Francisco and remained with the original owner until 2017. It was then sold to a well-known collector in Palm Springs. I bought the car from him almost three years ago. Due to being a California car from new until 2019, it is 100% rust-free. It has always been kept indoors and there is zero sun-fading to any soft trim or wood trim. This outstanding 300SEL comes from the final year of the W126 body style and as a result, benefits from the final round of updates these cars received, including dual airbags and antilock brakes. Finished in Smoke Silver with a Creme Beige leather interior, it is in outstanding condition and has an extensive, documented service history. It has benefitted from the ownership of people who maintained it without regard to cost.It car drives as designed and rides on recent shocks and tires. Other recent work includes a new steering box, brake pads and rotors, window regulator, hood pad, steering damper, engine mounts, exhaust, and an air conditioning service. All systems work as engineered by Mercedes-Benz. The car is completely reliable and can be driven any distance without worry, in total comfort. The air conditioning is incredibly cold, the factory radio and amp have been rebuilt, and the cruise control works perfectly. I have over 50 service records going back 15 years, as well as the owner's manual and original documents including the window sticker. There is a minor scratch on the left rear door and there have been a few minor touch-ups on the bumpers. The car presents as close to new as you are likely to see anywhere. This summer, it won “Best 1990s” at the Gilmore Museum’s German car show, which had almost 500 cars in attendance.
