Vehicle Details * Relisted due to a non-paying bidder* Volkswagen Passat GLS TDI Diesel 4 Door Automatic Sedan. This car was a daily driver until this listing. A couple things are wrong with it, and a close friend of the family was going to trade in his car and offered it to us for the trade in value, and we took it, instead of fixing this VW. (Hopefully we made the right decision, we love this car!). This car starts, drives, and rides fine, and gets great fuel mileage, averaging in mid-low 30's with our regular driving. This is one of the lowest odometer mileage 2005 Passat TDI's available anywhere. It drives great, and has served us well. We have done lots of maintenance on it, which I'll list most of the major stuff below. Now, the issues which made us decide to sell it - mainly, the air conditioning stopped working. It blows cool for a little while, on a cool day, but on a hot day, will not blow cool or cold. Assume it needs a new compressor. Secondly, the BRAKE service light keeps coming on at random intervals. It started happening a while ago when the front brakes were done, and has gotten more frequent. The mechanic at the time said it was probably a sensor issue, and we've been driving it as it is ever since. I'm suspecting it may need rear brake pads soon if not now, so the warning could be for that. So, whatever the cause is, there is some issue with the brake warning system (even though the brakes work fine). The clear coat paint is peeling on the hood, front roof area, and mirrors. Those are the main issues with the car. It is used, and has some other random issues. The automatic locking feature doesnt work on all doors, those doors need to be left locked, or manually locked for the alarm to arm. The leather seats (I think they are fake leather) are well worn and falling apart in a few places. The heated seats do still work, along with the heater, defroster, both mirrors, headlights, radio (missing two small knobs), steering wheel controls, all windows roll up and down, and besides the periodic brake warning light, the check engine light is not on. Car is mainly rust free except for one bad spot on the driver's front fender. New battery @ 122000 miles.A couple window regulators were replaced.Several various other maintenance receipts are included. Several oil changes. The owners manual booklet will be included, along with two key fobs. I think I have a non-fob emergency key, I'll include it if I can find it. Buyer is responsible for pick up and delivery. Car is in running condition, but the tags are being transferred to another car as this auction is going up. I suppose if you bring your own temporary tags, you can drive it home on those.
