Vehicle description
This total pan-off restored 1962 VW Beetle Convertible is one of the best Beetles you can get. Here are some noticeable items: 1. Engine: Okrasa Engine built by Mr. Okrasa, Joe Ruitz. He built a stroked 40 hp engine, using a vintage 69.5mm Empi/Okrasa forged crank, Rimoco 40 hp rods and big bore 83mm/40hp pistons and liners. Among the other cool period pieces are a pair of Okrasa dual-port 40hp cylinder heads, NOS Fram oil filter canister, dual Okrasa/Solex 32mm carburetors mounted to a pair of extra-tall steel manifolds and Knect air cleaners, Bosch 010 distributor, and stainless steel dual exhaust. With every nut, bolt and washer cad-plated, and tin first acid-dipped then painted satin black, and careful assembly, this engine is a true work of art.
2. Disk Brakes: A full set of Neal billet five-lug disc brakes
3. Wheels: Flat Four BRM-style wheels using 165R15 radial tires.
4. Okrasa Throttle pedal
5. All of cars trims, bumpers, and emblems were retained but, of course, freshened-up or replaced with new NOS items. To give the car a more “vintage” performance look, front and rear fender gravel guards were added.
6. Gearbox: Original gear ratio with Special Mod/Super-Diff welded third and fourth gears.
7. New pan
8. Frames: Chrome plated
9. Two-tone Paint Scheme: Deltron DBC Riviera Blue Platinum with Silver covered with Deltron 2001 clear coats.
10. Leather Seats & Leather convertible tonneau cover.
11. Carpet by Sewfine using German Squre-weave.
12.Original Manual Book
Of course, this beetle runs great! Do not miss this chance. Thank you!
