Mercury Capri ASC McLaren Convertible This vehicle is located in the state of Florida, 30 miles from Disney, so kill two birds with one stone.
Mercury and ASC McLaren joined forces in 1984/85/86 to produce the Capri ASC McLaren, in 1985 they only produced 186 McLaren convertible"s, so very rare cars.
The Capri was powered by the Ford 302 (5.0 ) with the ford AOD gearchange.
The odometer is showing 12xxx miles, on a 5 figure odometer, this is showing on the title as true mileage, but cars over ten years old in Florida are automatically sold as Mileage exempt. So assume mileage is 112,xxx.
It starts first crack, it runs very well, drives very nicely and it"s an eye catching,
it"s a "stop for gas and you will be answering questions for ages" type of car.
It had a full paint job in 2020 and upholstery done at the same time, so it looks awesome.
As with most 36 year old cars there are little things to do, none of them effecting the running, driving and safety of the car.
Items such as the "Pulldown motor for the tonneau cover, in trunk in box.
Other little things, that at the moment I can"t remember, but as soon as I do I"ll put it on the advert .
