Vehicle description
I am selling a very nice 1992 Cadillac Allante. It does have a few minor scratches and dings, but cleans up very nicely as you can see from the photos. You"ll find additional photos at here . The car has only a bit over 40,000 miles on the odometer. There is no rust that I"m aware of. The top is in good condition. (There is no hard top with this car.) The rear pull-down for the top is a bit temperamental, but it does work. The pull-down for the trunk works as well. The interior is also in very nice condition. The leather is not cracked and in good shape. There are some minor stains on the carpet in a few places. The Bose sound system isn"t working currently. It had been working, but has stopped for some reason that I haven"t yet determined. I did replace the rear speakers a few years ago. The power windows and seats all work. The door locks need some attention. You can lock the car with the key, but the power locks don"t work as well as they should. The car starts up immediately, but is running a bit rough. I contacted a well-known Allante mechanic and told him what was going on. He said he thought that the car probably needs new oxygen sensors. I have purchased the new sensors, but haven"t gotten them installed. I will provide those with the car. The car hasn"t been garaged recently, but I do keep in covered. The right side mirror is broken. I have purchased a used mirror to replace it (I couldn"t find a new one), but haven"t installed it yet. I"ll include that mirror with the car. The previous owner installed a cut-off switch for the battery so it can be easily disconnected for periods of non-use (otherwise the electronics drain the battery). The battery is only about a year old. I think that covers all of the issues. On the plus side, everything else works to the best of my knowledge. The Bosch anti-lock brakes work well. Even the electronically-controlled suspension works (or at least there are no error messages). The air conditioning and climate control system work. The engine runs well (aside from the slight aforementioned roughness). The wheels and tires are in good shape. All-in-all, it"s a very nice car for being almost 30 years old. If you have any questions, please let me know.
