You can verify by VIN if original. You can check on LMCtruck.com go to 1973-1979 catalog then to page 8 for VIN breakdown.Original interior in particularly good condition. The bench seat is in perfect condition.New wheels and tiresRebuilt carburetor (plus a bonus carburetor suitable for rebuilding)Mileage is original (the odometer has never turned over) so there really is just 78,712Moderate to average amount of rust on the body panels for a pickup truck of this age.The original color was a metallic blue which can be seen in the pictures of the interior. The truck was about one or two years when my father bought it back in the early 1970’s and put a camper on it. Many years later (about 20 years) a local man bought the truck for a time and painted the exterior that awful grey and he also monkeyed around with the wiring in the dash, thus you can see the dials installed at the base of the inside for temperature, oil, and battery. When that man died, his widow let the truck be declared salvage rather than pay taxes on it and let it sit on a lawn for about 7-8 years. The original wheels rusted out. When my father moved back to the area, he saw the truck going to waste on that woman’s lawn and bought it back from the widow. The truck was rebuilt from ‘salvage’ in 2009 and granted a new title and registration.Presently there is an issue with the electrical system. The battery is (or was) good (new) but the engine would not turn over. Attempted to jump start the truck and all it did was make the battery cables hot. The muffler had a blow out about six or seven years ago. As far as I can tell the exhaust system is adequate and it is only the muffler that clearly has a big hole in it. I have had three mechanics assess the truck and it seems the heater core needs repair/replace also. Most mechanics are leery of working on the truck because of the extensive amount of time a vehicle of this age requires for full repair. Also included is a set of new replacement cab lights, and some hardware for securing the headlights in place. The head lamps are modern replacements. Also, the rear-view mirror became unstuck from the windshield but it’s there. I put it back on once but it came off again so I left it that way for now.The black panel on the dash (surrounding speedometer, heat/ac control, etc.) is presently detached but in perfectly good 48-year-old condition – not breaks or crack. This panels is presently off because of installation of an OEM AM radio. Please contact me with any questions, and for any additional pictures.
