Original no rust very nice low mileage car to begin before the build was started. This is one of those cars you lay awake at night and can’t get off your mind. Looks totally stock, but that’s where the story changes. This car has been professionally transformed into a super street car. Brand new GM 383 Stroker motor putting out about 500 horses. Brand new Tremec 5 speed. Brand new Flow Master Exhaust. Brand new Suspension up grades, including upper control arms, new front springs, heavier sway bars, new Fox High Performance Shocks all the way around and more. This car could be your new daily driver. Starts and runs super smooth, but when you want performance, it is there for you at the push of the gas pedal. This car is so fun to drive that you will not just make it your weekend warrior. You’ll find excuses to drive it whenever you can. Growing up during the first generation of muscle cars in the 60’s and 70’s and owning both a Boss 302 and a Boss 429, I street raced numerous Z28’s back in the day. Knowing what great cars they were, I was very excited to follow up on this 70 Z28 when I first heard about this car. It was located less than 15 miles from my house. I wanted to know more. My partner Dave was the first to see the car. When he returned to discuss what he saw, he was very excited about the car. It was all he could talk about for weeks. We decided to see if we could convince the owner to sell us the car. It took two months for us to put a deal together to purchase the car. When I first saw this car, I was just as impressed as he was. What a phenomenal package it was. It looks totally stock, but performs and sounds like nothing of its day. Bullet Points: 500 Horse Power New Chevy Crate Motor Five Speed Tremec Manual Transmission Headers with 2 ½ inch Flow Master “H” pipe exhaust system Totally rust-free California Car – Nobody has ever sprayed the bottom of the car Original Spare tire with the Firestone “Wide Oval” white letter tire 3.73 Twelve Bolt Posi Traction Rear End Original Clock keeps accurate time Original Chrome Bumpers are really nice, but do show some slight pitting Two pumps on the gas for “cold start” and it starts right up every time Owners Manual Previous owner bought the car in Los Angeles and drove home to Rancho Santa Fe (about 150 miles). Decided he didn’t want to jeopardize the LT1 motor and had all the up grades professionally installed. He stated “I wanted a fun car to drive but had no desire to harm the 50-year-old drive train”. Driven in 95-degree weather and engine temperature was steady at 190 degrees At 80 MPH the engine runs at only 2500 RPM’s One repaint with the original paint scheme, about 12 years ago looks good but has a few issues and scratches The car is immaculate from top to bottom. May never have been driven in the rain? The new owner has the option to buy the original LT-1 Motor, M-20 Transmission and all the replaced parts for and additional $12,500. The motor and transmission ran perfectly when the major upgrade was purchased. Compression was 175 on all cylinders before it was pulled. The owner just wanted to have the ultimate 70 Z28 Split Bumper Camaro of his dreams. Now this ultimate Camaro can be yours. Bid with confidence that you will be the new owner of one great Super Camaro!
