Vehicle description

GMC Suburban . Condition is Used.
Engine: Presently has a 235 straight 6 cylinder. This was a common replacement for a 216 engine as the 216 engine wasn"t designed well. The engine runs well but it will need the choke set when it gets colder. I was told it was rebuilt. See the engine pictures to see what you think. Does not have an issue of smoking after starting. New alternator. Need exhaust gasket where manifold meets exhaust pipe.
Transmission and Rear End: Drives fine. Shifted fine. I believe the 4 speed transmission and rear end are original to the truck.
Body: Please see pictures. The Suburban went through a body shop at one time that added some Bondo. I took a few pictures of areas that have rust popping through. Like on the roof line and the front corners of the hood. The good part is the areas that are typically bad and hard to fix are very good on this vehicle. The underside is very solid. The area between the rear of the door and the front of rear fender is solid on both the outside and the underside of the vehicle. The metal area where the front seats sit is rust free from the underside. The fenders have obviously been blocked out with Bondo. The rear fenders have been fiber glassed into the side of the truck. I believe this is for style as opposed to cover up rust. I suspect the rear fenders would need to be mended at the lower rear if the vehicle was restored. The wheel wells have only minor surface rust (unbelievably nice). The interior side walls are very solid also. Typically there would be rust on the lower sides of the rear after the rear wheels. Contact me if you want additional pictures as ebay would not allow the picture package.
Windows covered in. Yes this is a Suburban. Prior owner must have wanted a panel truck. I own another Suburban that the glass has been inserted from the inside and adhesive used on the outside. It looks like the metal can be cut out leaving a 3/8 inch lip around the window opening. The channels and sliding window parts for a Suburban can be hard to find. Better option would be to have one piece glass installed.
Wiring: I cut out some old wiring for the lights and have not replaced it. Not sure I will get to it. The turn signals, taillights and brake lights will need to be wired.
Please feel free to contact me for additional pictures or information. Thanks for looking.
