Special order V8 LT1 Auto with performance rear axle, factory chrome wheels, red leather interior.
The pictures speak for themselves of the condition of this car. It is like new. Original window sticker, ice cold air, original floor mats. I have looked after this car from new, never driving it in winter or inclement weather. I had no intention of ever selling it. In 1996 when I ordered this car, Ram air was only available in a t top coupe, and although a ram air coupe was less expensive than this convertible, a coupe is a poor substitute for a convertible at anytime, but I did order this car with an auto box and a performance rear axle so it would be quicker than a manual ram air from a standing start. After I purchased this car I checked GM production numbers and discovered that this was the only Red TransAm Convertible produced with a bright red leather interior in 1996. There were only fourteen T/A convertibles made in total that year with bright red leather but the other thirteen cars were a different exterior color. This is the only red one, and a wonderful driving car. Circumstances have now changed for me, as I am moving far away, and it is not practical to take the car with me. The car is presently under cover in a climate controlled building around a thirty minute drive from Buffalo, N.Y. and can be viewed anytime. The cover was removed to take the last photos. It has a battery tender connected.
Please note that this is not an anniversary model where there are 2000 of all the same identical cars, or a charcoal interior model where there are tens of thousands of identical cars. This is one of a kind, and probably one of the nicest examples that you will find. Viewing highly recommended. Will assist with shipping company if you don"t want to drive it home.
