Vehicle description

1GTW7FCF2F1902970 2015 GMC Savana 2500 Former U-Haul Van. ($19 in-town, rent me)
Current mileage 60,071. Most recent shop visit (last week) replaced a wheel bearing and I just installed a brand new battery. Brakes at 50% estimated (per shop). Oil changed about 2,800 miles ago.
V8 gasoline engine, automatic transmission with shift lever on the steering column including +/- buttons for the “M” Manual transmission setting.
OEM stereo does have an Auxiliary input (cable included) and sounds fine. It’s not all crackly and blown out like the typical work van stereo.
Cloth seats with movable armrests and rubberized floor - no carpet! Rubberized floor extends throughout the entire van.
In-dash power inverter - run your AC electronics by plugging them right into this house-style outlet. Two DC outlets AKA cigarette lighters (without the lighter).
Cold AC, HOT heat. All the things work like they’re supposed to. Power windows, intermittent wipers, cruise control, stereo, climate control, passenger’s airbag on/off switch, in-dash power outlets, information center and all the doodads.
Upgrades I have made from the original vehicle: Built-in full-time oversize digital rear view monitor (replaces the rear view mirror) with room for additional inputs. Camera is built into the 3rd brake light and gives you a real-time view of things behind you and gives a nice top-down view for monitoring your trailer and backing-up on a daily basis. Displays rear view at all times, not just while in reverse. There is a dimming function as well as an on / off button as it can be pretty bright at night. Professionally-installed keyless entry AND remote start - included TWO keys and TWO keyfobs… plus a third key with the correct ‘cut’ but will not start the vehicle - I have hidden this key on the exterior and used it countless times to get myself in when my employee or I had forgotten the keys in the van and locked the doors with the buttons on the door. Brand new 2” receiver towing package with 4 pin wiring harness. “Trailer’ setting on the dashboard came standard with this vehicle. Adrian Steel partition / bulkhead to protect driver and passenger from projectiles in the event of an unscheduled / abrupt / catastrophic stop. Metal racks and wood shelving throughout the cargo area of the vehicle included with the sale of this vehicle. 3 roof rack load bars with ladder stops - brand new. LED lighting throughout the cargo area - brand new. Multiple magnetic cell phone mounts on both sides of the dashboard.
Rear bumper has U-Haul rubber block bumpers installed. U-Haul tubular galvanized ‘sliders’ still in place - these are enormous running boards which protect the vehicle from hitting posts (like in the Dunkin’ drive-thru). Front bumper was recently replaced after an in-driveway 5mph collision with my customer’s parked car. Smashed the hell out of the plastic Ford Edge in front of us and only bent the bumper and the bracket behind it on the van - both replaced by body shop through insurance. No body work required. My employee was mortified. I was…. displeased. Still got the job, though! Bickity-BAM.
A little history. .
This was my actual daily work rig. It was purchased in 2015 with 10,000 miles on it. This means it only went ~10,000 miles a year and has had just the one fender bender. Regular oil changes and was serviced by a great mechanic in Easton as-needed. Currently has some inexpensive snow tires in the back since it is a 2WD vehicle and I lived at the top of a hill and needed all the help I could get.
This vehicle was purchased and used in Easton, Pennsylvania until I closed my contracting / handyman / property maintenance business in May of 2020 (thanks, COVID.) I moved the van up to Vermont (where I now reside) and it has only been here for 2 ish months and has not, repeat NOT seen a Vermont winter. It had an undercoat applied in 2015 and only has a bit of rust happening on the left front wheel arch. Otherwise, the body is in good shape. Underside looks good as well. Is the van perfect? Nope. But it is in great shape for it"s mileage and use and it is 100% ready to make you money immediately.
I just completed a master bathroom here in VT and have planned a break between that and my next job to outfit a new AWD van with different tools and layout. I used to have 2 employees but I am now a one-man-show and have no need for all the extra tools I have so this entire truck WITH TOOLS is available for you to start your own handyman business or to assign to a new employee as you expand your existing business. This is a moneymaker. Designed to haul lumber inside or on top, fits 12 foot lumber to the dash and fits sheet goods standing on end down the aisle all day long. Daily tools are all accessible from the side barn doors and more obscure tools and parts are stored on the long shelving unit inside (to minimize hunching over and rummaging around in there).
This van has never broken down on me. I’ve had the battery go dead on me but that’s from the dash cam I had parasitically draining the battery when the van sat for a few days. The ONLY complaint I have about it is that at gas stations with really powerful / fast pumps, they overwhelm the filler tube and they shut off. You will likely have to hold the gas nozzle while filling and throttle back the amount of gas being dispensed. I looked into having this fixed but it’s a known GM issue. I even had the charcoal evap canister unit replaced but it is still a pain in the ass. As a result, I learned where the slower pumps were and would just go there (or have my employee fill it). I got a ‘tighten gas cap’ error message a few times recently so you’ll want to get a new cap at some point.
I am including all of my ridgid and some Ryobi supplemental tools. They all work as intended as far as I am aware. Used most of them on my last job to test them all out. Some of the hammer drills are a little tired but there are FOUR drills so turn ‘em and burn ‘em. All batteries work and all pieces and parts are present. You’ll need to supplement this with your hand tools and go through the bits included and fill in as needed. But… it is a hell of a good start!
PA Registration valid until July 31st. Will deliver within reason - maximum 500 miles. Will charge $1 / mile payable in cash upon delivery. You can also fly into Burlington International and I"ll meet you there with the van so you can drive it home. ALL FUNDS MUST CLEAR MY ACCOUNT PRIOR TO DELIVERY OF THE VEHICLE. You may drive it home on my tags and mail it back to me once you get home. $250 additional cash deposit required to take my tag with you, I will return it to you via venmo, zelle or paypal upon receipt of the tag back.
