For Sale is a running, driving 1948 Dodge 2 Ton Cabover with a 15.5 foot flatbed with removable high racks. The truck is currently licensed in Wyoming, completely street legal & has a clear title in my name. I have driven the truck around town for a couple of months. The body is a little beat up but it is in generally good condition for its age and would be a perfect truck to finish restoring and make into a car hauler but I have decided that I want to go a different route. There is a little rust in the front of the hood, under both doors, and in the passenger side floorboard. The truck is all original except I have converted it to 12 volt and it has a complete new wiring harness. The 251 Flathead 6 cylinder has been re-sealed, it runs good and powers a 5 speed manual transmission with a 2 speed rear end. I have put new wheel cylinders in it all around and have also rebuilt the master cylinder. The original heater, radio, 2 sales brochures and a service manual will go with the truck. The only downside is that it needs all new tires. The ones on it are OK for driving it short distances around town but I would not trust driving it with them for any long distance or with any load on it. The outer duals and the wheel for the spare tire will come with the truck, but the tires on them are not in good enough condition to even use them for short distances. The purchaser can make arrangements to inspect the Cabover in Bar Nunn, Wyoming at their expense and the Cabover is being sold AS IS with no guarantees or warranties expressed or implied from the seller. If the buyer is arranging shipping, t he Cabover will weigh approximately 7,000 lbs with the racks and extra tires/wheels. T he seller will make every attempt to get the vehicle to a shipping location here in Casper Wyoming but the buyer will be responsible for all shipping fees.
