Vehicle description
1988 Toyota land cruiser FJ62 266k miles, lots of work done, runs and drives great Toyota Land Cruiser. the FJ60, which came out in 1980. Outside was boxy sheetmetal, modern for the time and still handsome today. Under the hood, US-market FJ60s used a 4.2-liter inline-six known as the 2F. The original F-series engine is loosely based on the Chevy 235, built under license, which makes the Land Cruiser distantly related to the C1 Corvette. The 2F in the Land Cruiser made 135 horsepower and 210 pound feet of torque. It"s generally considered to be a bulletproof engine - even overheating is likely to warp the heads but leave the block intact - but it"s slow to a degree that highway merging requires a reservation. That said, the 2F has about the same output as what Ford offered in the Bronco and Chevy had in the Blazer at the time. Everything was underpowered at the beginning of the 80s, and thirsty. Just as a reminder, the fuel economy of all these trucks is in the low teens. FJ60s were once cheap and under-the-radar. Today, they are red-hot in the collector market, with $30,000 prices now common. We"ve sold two above that mark. This 1984 example , which went for $33,075, benefited from a recent, and thorough, engine and driveline service, while this 1983 model that sold for $31,500 was also clean, low mileage, and had a five-speed transmission that was offered in foreign markets. Both were relatively free of rust, which is the hardest thing to find in a Land Cruiser and, accordingly, one of the biggest factors in price. You can still find good FJ60s in the teens and twenties, like this blue 1984 we sold for $24,150 . that being said this Cruiser is in great cond runs strong with no hiccup"s transmission shifts smoothly. breaks are about 70%. all lights work this is the 155HP fulie the start and the end of the FJ60 sires i have a buy it now! but it is a no reserve auction could bring more or less? if you bid/buy it now you own this cruiser no inspection to see if you like it do your due diligence, to inspect it before you bid and win or buy it now thre will be a $1000 None refundable deposit within 24 hr of winning or buy it now full payment in 3 working days ASIS Call me with Questions
