Vehicle description
Restoration is complete on this amazing 1973 Toyota FJ40. You can now own Toyota’s legendary Land Cruiser that is synonymous with dependability and capability. The Land Cruiser started as a military vehicle when the US Government commissioned Toyota to build a vehicle for military police during the Korean War. The Land Cruiser has been proven in some of the harshest environments on the planet.
This FJ40 had spent most of its life in Idaho as a hunting vehicle with a rifle rack mounted in the top. In 2018 this vehicle came to Texas for a restoration to its current state. The pictures show how rough the vehicle was before the restoration started. The previous owners had riveted sheet metal to cover up the rust.
The restoration started with all metal being taken down to bear metal and all rusted panels being replaced with new metal. Fenders and floorboards (front and back) were replaced with new. All metal was treated, primed and sealed before new Sherwin Williams automotive paint was applied. Proper PPG color codes where used to apply appropriate color. New driver and passenger seats were installed with new mounts and the rear folding seats were reupholstered. All new window seals have been installed. Engine has been gone through and is a good runner, new clutch slave cylinder installed and brakes adjusted. Added 2.5" lift, wheels, tires and many more new parts. All new logos and lights were replaced throughout the vehicle. Mileage cannot be confirmed from previous owner. Clean Texas Title.
Inspections of car prior to auction end are encouraged/welcomed.
