Vehicle description
Up for sale is this beautiful 1936 Pontiac Silver Streak Pontiac in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. The full fendered beauty has awesome sweeping art deco lines, beautiful burl wood grained dash, map light, large gauges and a lot of wow factor.
The car has newer Crocker whitewall radials, a newer radiator, new battery and has recently been professionally wet sanded and detailed. The car has a rebuilt front end, tight steering with excellent shifting and is a pleasure to drive. The body, door and fender panels of the car are very straight and the undercarriage of the car is very clean with no undercoating. Doors are tight and do not sag and the small amount of wood in the floors is in great shape. The car has always been kept inside and well cared for.
The chrome and stainless are in very good condition with some light blemishes. The green lacquer shines with a few chips that have been touched up and can be seen in the close up photos.
The tan mohair interior headliner is tight and clean with no rips or sagging. The running boards, weather stripping and carpets are in good condition with some wear. The original front vent glass and rear windows are in good condition with a few small chips on the driver and passenger windows with some yellowing. Within the past few months the car has had some difficulty starting when cold and there may be an issue with the choke. A correct GM radio has been added, but needs work to function.
Out of all of the 30"s cars I have owned in the past, this Pontiac is a real standout with it"s beautiful look, comfort and excellent performance and ride.
The car is sold as-is, with inspections and test drives welcome on site. Clear California title. Open to trade up to down for a 1940"s-60"s pick up truck. Currently registered and insured. Please contact John at [email protected] for 100+ detailed photos and video walk around & of the car.
