Listing my beloved Ruf 3400K and very rare Vin car# W09 CM0 344 7P R06 103. This is one of coolest cars on the planet. It is built on the Cayman mid engine platform. Only several were made to celebrate the Ruf"s 25th Anniversary. Its what a Porsche Cayman should have been (and still isn"t to this day) when it comes to horsepower, handling, and total overall asthetics. Mr. Ruf used a low pressure super charger instead of a turbo charger in this flat 6. The results are excellent. The car runs like a normally aspirated car on the low end; no lag. And then the super charger kicks in at 4500 rpm. From there on up you"d better hold on! But unlike an after market tuned car, this car is humagenous in its behavior. Everything just works together perfectly. That"s the way the Ruf"s engineer their cars. Its not just about 0-60. Its about how the car works and handles at every speed. This car inspires true confidence and creates an unparalleled car/driver relationship from its motor, transmission, steering wheel, peddles, and suspension. I"ve owned two other Ruf"s and all of their cars do this. Its definitely a very special car. And it runs and handles great!
I am the first retail owner. I purchased the car a few years back from the Ruf dealer in Michigan through the Ruf"s themselves in Germany. It was one of their cars. It had 24K miles when I bought it. The car has been great. Oil has been changed every 3000 miles and I only run 93 octane (don"t have too, I just chose to). At 28K the clutch felt a little strange so the Ruf"s replaced it through the Porsche dealer here free of charge. Other than this, the car has had zero issues. Tires are in great and shape and services are up to date. And yes your local Porsche dealer can work on this car. And no there are no LMS bearing issues with this motor. I have the service records and the Authenticity Letter signed by the Ruf"s indicating its a true Ruf Vin car. Also, the car has never been tracked and is obviously garage kept.
The whole front half of the car is wrapped (incuding the spoiler) with X-pel including the mirrors and inside the door handles. This is really nice for protection. It came with both the very cool "Hound"s Tooth" seat inlays (shown in the pics above) and the black leather seat inlays which I have stored. I also have the Guard"s Red rear spoiler in addition to the the carbon fiber spoiler shown in the pics. It also has a fantastic custom Kenwood/JL Audio stereo system. This system was designed and installed by the JL Audio factory engineers. They used my car to model the subwoofer and speaker design now available for the Cayman. The subwoofer is "plug n play" and can be easily removed if required. The Kenwood head unit adds some great functionailty not available back in 2008. This includes full bluetooth, navigation, plus front and rear cameras. The front camera comes in very handy when parking due to the front spoiler. I added the glass cover for the engine compartment to show off the beautiful Ruf motor. I have the orginal motor cover too.
Somebody is going to get a great and rare piece of automobile history. I am getting older and its time to move on. As shown by the original sticker above, this car retailed for nearly $160K without the thousands of dollars worth of add-ons discussed above. I paid a lot more than I am asking. I will entertain reasonable offers, but please no "bottom feeders". Please PM me for any further questions. At that point I will give you my phone number so we can chat. I will consider flying any qualified and very serious buyer into OKC to check the car out in person if need be.
