Vehicle description

The Dark Green (Epsom) Discovery"s are always a big hit and this one looks even more stunning in fresh paint. This LOW MILEAGE, 3 Owner, NO ACCIDENTS truck came to us from Florida with "just a little engine noise". Unfortunately, as so often is the case with a Disco 4.6 engine, even one with only 100,000 miles, it was ready for an overhaul! So, we have installed a COMPLETELY REMANUFACTURED "CRATE" ENGINE, which features new internals as well as "TOP-HAT" liners for smooth, leak-free, quite operation. We GUARANTEE these engines for a FULL YEAR against failure. Of course, we install that new engine with all NEW ANCILLARY systems, like new hoses, pump, tank, radiator, thermostat, and all new ignition components. Finally, we TEST DRIVE the truck at least 200 miles to make sure its ready for you. Additionally, the beautiful TAN (Alpaca) interior has been refurbished with a new HEADLINER , new "WOOD ACCENTS", refurbished seat surfaces, and new custom stitched LEATHER lever covers. An optional Bluetooth radio is available. The HELLA "Black Magic" foglights are mounted to a special front LIGHTBAR and are controlled by a special switch wired so that you can use them at any time. A Terrafirma ladder sets off the rear. ALL the plastic is in great shape, including both of the (very expensive) bumpers. How important is it that this truck has a new engine? Well, in the 5 years and 150+ Discovery 2"s that we have sold (and hundreds more serviced by our shop), we have learned what the Land Rover internet guru, J.E.Robison warned against when he said this: "If you are looking at a 2003–4 Disco II be very careful around the motor. Ticks and raps are early signs of a block going bad, as is excess cooling system pressure. If you are looking at a 4.6 Discovery I suggest you assume the engine will need a $11-14k overhaul at some point, unless you are shown proof that the engine was already rebuilt with a new front cover and flanged cylinder liners." (see http:/ robisonservice.blogspot.com/2009/10/all-you-ever-wanted-to-know-about-land.html for a more in-depth explanation.) With this NEW ENGINE, this beautiful truck should offer its happy new owner many years of strong, reliable service, avoided the expense and danger of an unpredictable breakdown.
