Vehicle description
This is a super clean 1970 LTD Brougham 4-door hard top with 36,000 actual miles and has the rare Lounge Seating option. Originally a 390 automatic car, but engine/trans were pulled for another project. This is an excellent candidate for either a restoration, resto-mod or Donk. (The trunk lid is not fully closed in the pictures, there is nothing wrong with it). Very fair reserve price.
As far as body condition and rust, this car is in excellent condition. No accidents, no rust on the body, the trunk is super clean considering its age, and all the glass is in place and not damaged. The vinyl top was bone dry and super cracked, and was removed. There are a few tiny holes by the back window, but nothing ugly and nothing beyond reasonably quick repair. All trim is present except for the front fender wheel arch trim. Headlights, tail lights, side marker lights, turn signals and reverse lights are all present and undamaged. The ultra cool Hide-A-Way headlight assemblies are clean and so is the center grille section. The hood has a slight bend by the drivers side hinge (original hinges wouldn"t move well, so I swapped and installed a good pair. Hood has all LTD trim in place. Rear bumper is very nice, front has surface rust as seen in the pictures. Engine wiring harness was cut, but I have a good replacement to go with (easy repair).
The interior is really very nice, but not perfect. The brake and gas pedal show hardly any wear at all, which proves the 36,000 miles shown on the odometer and title. The carpet is original and in great condition. All of the extra wide LTD wood grain trim is very nice, and the padded dash cover, while cracked as most are, isn"t really ugly and usable as a driver or a great piece to have restored. The door panels and arm rests are very, very nice, as is all bright work and trim. The front bench seat moves as it should. Both front and back seats are sun faded but not torn up. Seat belts are all functional and in place. Door sill plates are very nice, too. Doors and door jambs are rust free. The headliner is hanging down, but it seems someone pulled the stitching out on one panel. This can be fixed without taking it out (from what I can see). All knobs and buttons are in place and seem to move smoothly. Comes with the four original hubcaps (not shown, they are now in the trunk).
This is a very nice car, was a driver a few years ago before the motor/trans were removed. Drop in a motor/trans and drive this car like it deserves. Good open title.
Located near South Bend, Indiana. I prefer a PayPal deposit within 48 hours, and the balance either PayPal, CashApp, or USD cash when you pick up the car (obviously, it must be trailered). I have a friend who is a transport broker, so I can help get that set up at your expense (it"s not super expensive like it was in 2020).
Thank you
