Vehicle Details ! dollar Auction! 1993 Ford Mustang PROJECT CAR * NO RESERVE!* I bought this car several years back with the intention of building a drag car with my kids and working with them learning mechanical skills. We bought a motor from a F150 and had Marty Baskins in Baton Rouge LA to build the motor for racing and built themed a Clay Smith Mr Horsepower motor design, The Motor was built and gone through we added an FiTech fuel injection system to it, along with a new Edelbrock intake, all other parts are new as well, HEI distributor just too much to list etc etc. We then sourced a Ford AOD tranny built by a speedshop in Jonesboro AR with heavy clutches valve plate work for heavy power transfer torque and speed. We then put in a 15 gallon fuel cell and put it all together got it running and driving. It runs dang good and drives great as well. That said we were going to work on suspension and rip out interior put in roll cage and finish the project for Drag racing but I took on a different job position that keeps me busy all week no home time hardly and my kids lost interest in it. The car has been sitting and I'm tired of moving it around the yard. We are at the point that someone could make this car a sleeper, or a fun ride or finish the drag project the choice is yours. If you are looking for a project here's your chance. It will drive however we didn't go further with larger radiator and external coolers of which you will need to do if you plan to drive it. You will have to trailer it home the factory radiator is not big enough to cool the motor since the radiator is for a 2.3 4 cylinder. It has 3" racing headers (not street legal) I got free from a friend just to get it running they will need work if you plan on keeping them on it. The exhaust is straight pipe and turned down drag exhaust. The car has a new battery will run and drive, instantly starts, fuel injected throttle body computer controlled and tunable via handheld as seen in the picture. It has new tires on original Pony wheels. I have a new racing seat for it, a new B&M shifter, new line lock kit, new 5 point harnesses all still in boxes and all of it comes with the car. If you want to drive it on the road you'll need new radiator and external coolers, exhaust replaced everything else is ok, I put the front of the motor back on there to get it running so it has an AC compressor in order to use the belt configuration but not hooked up although it did work when removed it could be hooked up. All components work, radio, heat, lights, wipers, etc. If you want to make a drag car not much is left to do but rip the interior out, roll cage suspension, radiator, battery relocation etc as your local series requires. Bottom line my job change and kids lost interest they are now into computers instead. . my loss is now your gain! Rebuilt motor, built tranny, runs great! but you will need to trailer it home. Theres a local Uhaul here you could rent a car hauler pick it up here we can drive the car on the trailer sign bill of sale, sign title and you are on your way with a project car that already has most of the mechanical work already done for you.
