Vehicle description

Subaru Forester 2006 - Manual Transmission Vehicle is in better than good used condition considering the mileage.
This is an excellent all wheel drive car, that is cheap to operate, starts up always including in super cold weather, fun to drive with the 5 speed. Be an excellent car to modify.
My mechanic said he could acquire a used Subaru engine with 30k to 40k miles on it for around $700.00. The just the labor cost over that - fyi. The condition of the Body, Interior, Chassis is very good. Not a rust car. There is no wear or tears on seats. Subaru uses good materials throughout the interior so nothing is separation.
I am the second owner. The original owner was a single woman, no children. My kids are adults and this was my commuter and efficient car.
The car drives extremely well. I own other high mileage Subaru"s after the being so satisfied with this vehicle. This was my first Subaru and now own a few.
Mechanically - the engine does burn oil. I change the oil every 3000 miles. I purchased the car with about 137,000 miles on it. The ac compressor needs replacing. It works sometime. Mechanic says it skips. Needs replacing. Front passenger power window is weak. Does go down easily but requires hand assistance on the window to get it fully up. To the best of my knowledge this vehicle was not in an accident. I purchased it from my mechanic of the last 20 plus years. He serviced it for the previous owners most of its life. I am private owner who takes good car of things and have owned almost all brands of cars. Mostly European and spent a fortune maintaining them. Body - the only thing of note on the body are some scraps on the rear plastic valence on the drivers side. I touched them up with a generic silver from Auto Zone. I did order the exact paint match from Subaru and waiting for that to arrive to finish the touch up. The valence is not cracked anywhere. Could easily be sprayed painted to look brand new.
