B urn N Violet International are pleased to offer for auction, this retro styled Defender 90. It is both luxurious and practical, while being classically inspired by the original Land Rover brand.
This Defender is all about the detail, from the stunning Porsche Grey paintwork, to the beautiful maroon leather trim.
The retro style has been achieved by removing the doors and replacing them with doors made to fit a Series 3 Land Rover. The door tops are military spec, sliding types, which flow perfectly with the rest of the vehicle. To enhance the aged look, the steel cappings have been replaced with galvanised. To continue the retro style, we have furnished the front end with series 3 head-lamp surrounds, classic stainless-steel grille, galvanized bumper, and a steering guard. Fitted around the complete LED light set are matching halo headlights.
The hood/soft top is a stunning maroon mohair, which enhances the beautiful grey of the body. This is one truck that looks stunning with the top on or off.
A new Lucari Carpet has been installed in the front interior. The rear features a Factory Load Mat, edged and finished with stainless steel retainers. The seats and door cards/panels have a luxurious but classic design. Four leather hides were used to complete the vibrant maroon seats and door cards, all finished with black piping. The dash and centre pod/console is covered with the same leather which completes this stunning transformation. It is reminiscent of the luxury cars of the sixties and fits perfectly with the iconic style of the Land Rover Defender.
This Defender has undergone a body off restoration. The chassis was carefully, stripped down and a new rear X member fitted. Then a generous coating of semi-gloss, hard wearing black chassis paint was applied, which will keep it free from corrosion for many years.
Then this beauty received new suspension fittings, springs, shocks, brake friction material, poly bush kits and several brake pipes before the body was reattached.
