The complete restoration of this vintage beauty was completed by renowned CPR Classic, including a full interior and engine restoration.
We purchased this timepiece from a private collection, with only 500 miles driven since the completion of the extensive overhaul. Our mode of transportation at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance, the success of this restoration was readily apparent, as we kept pace with modern traffic in the hills of northern California. We were also honored to have this vehicle signed by Wolfgang Porsche himself at Monterey car week’s premier event hosted at The Quail Lodge.
We also had the pleasure of testing the car’s practicality and comfort in the best of real world conditions on a nostalgic coastline drive down Pacific Coast Highway.
While there is no denying the allure of this mechanical piece of art, the primary pleasure of this beloved classic is absolutely the driving experience. Coasting down the cliff lined PCH for 2 sun-kissed afternoons, the exceptional drivability and comfort of this timeless treasure thrilled us to no end, and for 2 blessed days we could imagine that we had been transported back to 1970’s California in this spectacular time capsule.
