After a long search to find this very low mileage example complete with all the right “tasteful” mods similar to my previous 911’s, I’m being pressured to sell. This was to be my retirement road trip touring vehicle but after significant investment in pre-emptive maintenance and preparing the car for reliable cross country adventures my wife has developed a hip issue. I’ve put about 5000 mi on it since I bought it Feb 2020 and have addressed all known 996T weaknesses. See receipts in pics. Original US car imported from Montana to Ontario, Canada in August 2007. Car is located Ottawa, Ontario 45 mins from the Ontario - NY border. Duty free, easy and seamless import back to the US. Stored winters as evidenced by the low mileage and condition. Fly in – drive home or I will meet the new owner in upstate NY once US is open for land crossing. Drive anywhere. Ready to go. No accidents, door dings or flaws in the stunning and all original Lapis Blue exterior with the exception of a front and rear bumper skin respray for a few stone chips and a minor contact between the lower right bumper skin and a hard object in my garage. Recent ceramic paint treatment. No CELs. Instantaneous power with the recent and conservative DJ Markski tune (1.1 bar) added under my ownership that is running on OE actuators. I have the factory tune, plus a 91 octane and 93 octane Markski tunes to be included with the car. I know dyno results are subject to skepticism but see gains in hp and torque in pre-post dyno pulls in the pics. The Speedtech exhaust setup I added sounds great, similar to the factory sport exhaust on a previous 911 I owned with absolutely no drone at highway speeds. The intensive Feb 2020 PPI completed by Oakville Porsche when I purchased the car shows excellent compression and leak down test results. showed excellent results.
I picked up a slight gbox whine last fall. Spared no expense or shortcuts and had the gbox done by Bestline Auto Tech (Concord ON) who service and maintain the Mark Motors and Pfaff Motors entries in the GT3 Cup Challenge series throughout North America. The new owner of this 996T will never have to worry about 2 nd gear pop-out after the professional and detailed attention they gave this unit. Engine out service CDN $7700 · Pinned and re-glued coolant lines (See pics) · All hoses replaced · Vacuum lines clamped · New water pump (Due at 60k mi.) and hoses · Replaced all O rings, gaskets and coolant lines · New drive belt · EVOMS upgraded diverter valve set (996T weakness) · Checked for evidence of engine oil leaks – none found · Smoke and pressure tested · Serviced A/C system, evacuate, vacuum test, pressure test · Cabin filter · Intermediate shaft O ring Factory spoiler raises and lowers at correct speeds but activates a spoiler control failure message. Intermittently stays in position when engine off. Dash spoiler activation button is inoperative. No hydraulic piston leakage found. Left the decision to the next owner to maintain factory spoiler or replace to personal taste.
