2018 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack The stolen SEMA challenger from the 2019 SEMA show is up for sale! This car has a very cool but unfortunate history that put this build on the map. This car showed up at Quintin Brothers Auto and Performance as a brand new, right off the lot 2018 Challenger Scat Pack. The crew here at Quintin Brothers created a plan with the owner to build this car exactly the way the owner wanted it, and display it at the 2019 SEMA show in Las Vegas. That"s where it all started. We started in on working on the car and as always, the build snowballed into a no expense spared one of kind car. . We were now in a mad dash to build this car to unveil to the owner at SEMA in the ProCharger booth. Engine and Performance The engine in the car is the stock 6.4 392 long block that the car left the factory with. We added a black finish ProCharger supercharger system equipped with an upgraded intercooler and race style BOV. We added Kooks long tube headers with high flow catted pipes connected to a Borla cat-back exhaust system. We added in a set of QTP electric cutouts in the exhaust to wake the car up with a push of a button. Then, to finish the car off, we performed a custom dyno tune on our Dynojet chassis dyno. Braking System Although the factory brakes on these cars are more than adequate, just like the rest of this car, we opted for the best. A full set of Baer 15" drilled/slotted brake rotors with red powder coated 6 piston calipers were installed. Lighting Oracle lighting supplied some super slick color changing LED Halos in the headlights controlled via Bluetooth. Interior and Stereo System The interior of the car we kept simple with some small touches to set the car apart. We custom modified the gauge cluster to have red face gauges, custom painted the dash and center console bezel body color, installed a carbon fiber steering wheel and added a custom painted Hurst shifter. Straight from the show room floor, these cars have less than adequate stereo systems, so something needed to be done in that department. We opted to go with a full JL Audio setup paired with a fully custom built trunk sub enclosure. Wheels - Tires and Suspension Forgeline supplied a set of custom 3 piece 20 inch wheels with a unique center-lock hub design that makes the wheels removable with just one "nut". We mated a set of 315/35/20 Michelin Pilot SuperSport tires to the wheels and lowered the car using KW Coil Overs. Custom Fab- Body and Paint This is where things get serious. This car started out as a non-widebody 2018 Scat Pack Challenger. We took the car, as is, right off the showroom floor and stripped it down close to a bare shell. We contacted Anderson Composites and purchased everything that they sold for a widebody Hellcat, Purchased a widebody Hellcat front bumper and started the custom work! This job took an extensive amount of labor to convert this car into looking like an OEM Widebody hellcat, but better. All gaps were perfected, custom mounting flanges were made for the flares, one off inner fenders were made. .this work was all done top tier and no corners were cut. We had to build a custom lower grille and fog light pockets to accommodate the Scat pack front camera and fog lights. In the end, the car was fully repainted after all fabrication work was done. Car was repainted in the factory color with painted black and red stripes as an accent. Top quality materials were used. Total labor for the car in metal fabrication and body work totaled over 750 hours! We do have pictures of the car from start to finish during the process for interested buyers. Once the car was completed in Vermont, The car was shipped out to Vegas for the SEMA show in an enclosed car trailer. . All was well and the whole crew was getting ready to hop on a plane in a few days to head out to Vegas when we got the call. . The car and trailer had been stolen from a hotel overflow parking lot where it was, waiting for it"s turn to head into the convention center. From that moment on, things were hectic. the car and trailer remained stolen and we were all in limbo waiting to hear word. Word came in that the car was spotted, and we started getting calls, emails, Instagram and Facebook messages from great people out in Vegas that were seeing the car in different places around the city. The Las Vegas Police Department and Nevada State Police got to work and after a long pursuit, high speed chases, a collision with a police car, and lots of drama. . the car was found abandoned in a parking garage. . and the thief was seen getting on a bus from there. the trailer was later located and the search was on for the suspect. The thief who stole the car was later arrested and is facing trial for the crime of stealing this car, and assault against an officer when he used this challenger to hit a police car. The next step for us was to access the car and figure out what the plan of action was. The car was crashed. all the hard work we put into it the past months was destroyed. We contacted ProCharger thinking that we were going to have to have the car shipped back home and that was going to be the end of it. well. even after the car was found, the story was getting bigger and bigger with new information being released by the hour, more and more people talking about it and news stations were going crazy. After a talk with ProCharger, we decided we cannot let this story end here. . We came to a decision to display the car in the as found condition in the ProCharger booth as planned. This included all the trash that was in the car, even down to the baby seats in the back. The response was crazy! Interview after interview, stories after stories. the car went on to be the most talked about subject of SEMA in a long time. Although this isn"t the way attention was wanted, it was a situation that needed to be acted upon. This car was all over the world with attention and went down in history as the famous "Stolen SEMA Challenger". In fact, everytime someone asks any of us about the car. . its always easier to say, if you google "Stolen SEMA Challenger". . all the info you could ever need from hundreds of different sources is there. The car went on to be fixed back to pre-Vegas condition and is now offered up for sale. The car is brand new with a mere 250 miles on it, with most of them being put on during the chase in Vegas.
