Vehicle description

Vehicle Details I have owned this vehicle since 2010. It was my daily driver for several years, then became my camping vehicle. I use a different vehicle for camping now and don't want to invest the time and sweat equity necessary to bring the Landy up to scratch. It will make an excellent overland vehicle for a person familiar with Land Rover idiosyncrasies. I will list the mechanical deficiencies I am aware of. It has a noticeable valve tap when first starting. The timing belt has not been replaced in the time that I have owned it. The engine may be due a top-end rebuild. It definitely needs a new heater core. The heater core is currently bypassed so neither the heater or air conditioner are working. I have the new heater core and will include it in the sale. The battery is well out of date and does not hold a charge for long. It could need a new alternator as well. I have only used the vehicle for errands around town in the past two years and recommend trailering it for any significant distance. Having said that, the car starts easily and handles well. The body is in overall good condition with minimal rust. It has a slight ding in the left rear bumper and about a half-dollar size dent in the lower driver's door (see final two photos). There is a dime-sized dent in the hood. Suspension is very good. Tire tread is virtually new. Steering is good but the steering box does exhibit the usual Land Rover seep. The car has an excellent Sony stereo. There are no illuminated engine warning lights. The fuel gauge does not work properly and the temperature gauge does not work at all. All power windows work (including sunroof). The rear cargo door lock does not work properly and for this reason all door locks must be operated manually. The rear door latch will only open from the outside. I have two power lock key fobs that will be included in the sale. The rear seats are currently removed for camping but will be included in the sale (including seat belts). The driver's side rear cargo seat was missing when I purchased the vehicle and I have never replaced it. If the new owner prefers, I will bolt all seats and seat belts in place prior to pick up. There are a couple of repaired stars in the windshield and noticeable scratches in the window tint on the driver's side door window, the rear cargo window, and lesser scratches in others. There is a slight water leak around the upper front windshield molding, just left of the rear view mirror. This vehicle has seen some action. I have crossed the country and back five times in it. It still has a lot of miles remaining for the person who wants to invest the time and effort to restore it. Please understand that the vehicle will need work to be a daily driver. Feel free to contact me with any questions and I will promptly respond to your inquiry. I will not accept offers from zero feedback bidders. There is no reserve on this auction.
