Vehicle description

The truck runs perfect and there is nothing mechanically wrong with it, and there never really has been while I owned it. The engine sounds exactly the same as the day I bought it, 10 years ago. It goes down the road straight and true, the suspension is firm, the tires have about 5,000 miles on them. It is a long bed which is pretty rare, and is 7 feet 3 inches in length inside. This truck is very clean, was never driven in salt, and I never drove it in the winter. I wouldn"t hesitate to jump in this truck tomorrow and drive to Alaska or Tierra del Fuego. These trucks are absolute beasts.
I am the 3rd owner of this truck , I purchased it in Bishop, CA from an ad in the paper 10 years ago in September 2011. I was never going to sell this truck but I"ve recently needed something a little bigger, so I bought a V6 1996 Tacoma, and now I just don"t need it anymore, it was a difficult decision to sell it.
The only thing that could be seen as abnormal is . . if you fill the radiator to the top, eventually when it gets hot enough , it will push off the excess fluid thru the cap and not into the reservior, so I just left it like that and the radiator is always running at like 95% full, which is perfectly fine . .and the engine has (of course) never overheated , and it never even gets super hot, even when it"s hot out and going up big grades, with the AC on in Death Vallley, etc.
There is body damage to the right rear panel, see pictures. About 5 years ago, I had a flat and had put the original Bridgestone spare tire on that back wheel and was driving along when the tire tread peeled partially off and started beating that area and tore off the mud flap and damaged the body a little. I never got around to putting that back on or fixing it.
The only things that I have done to this truck during the 10 years and 51,000 miles that I owned it are: . . . . . . fuel injectors where professionally cleaning . . . new alternator . . . . .the muffler was replaced and some welding was done on the exhaust manifold . . . . . the radiator was leaking a little and repaired . . . . new thermostat . . . .the radiator fluid has been changed numerous times using OEM Toyota fluid . . . . .all gear and transfer oils etc. replaced / serviced . . . . . . . .all belts replaced . . . . new spark plug wires and plugs . . . . .air conditioning recharged . . . . .front brake calipers where replaced with drilled and slotted style because I thought that would improve braking performance (- it did, a little), when I did the calipers I repacked the whole front end assembly and manual hubs and set tightness to the exact specifications. Also I built a wooden shelf unit that is very secure and comes out quite easily, you could slide a car stereo in the top slot and hook it up quite easily.
A few years ago I sanded the whole truck down to the primer and painted it with Rustoleum (oyster white) using a roller and brush, I now wish I would have just had it professionally sprayed. The reason I started that project was because the paint on the cab roof was deteriorating and was starting to show a little surface rust, that area was sanded to bare metal and primer was put down.
The truck has an optional set up for a 2nd deep cycle 12 volt battery (no 2nd battery included with sale) the 2nd battery has on / off switch in the cab so you can run some power separate from the starter battery when camping etc , it"s wired so you could start the truck directly from that battery if you needed to, there are added 12 volt sockets by the tailgate. The shelf for the battery is very secure and under the middle carriage area of the truck (see picture)
I ran a carfax on this truck last year when I had a extra report , I don"t know why the carfax is almost non existent before I bought it, also the carfax shows a new owner in June 2019 when I moved to Wyoming and they require you to transfer your out of state titles to a Wyoming title. So that is INCORRECT, there was NO sale or new owner in 2019.
The camper shell is a Snugtop and is very solid . . you can walk around on it. There are Yakima bars with A1 towers available that fit the truck for $40 dollars extra.
Offers before the end of the auction will not be responded to . . . .the auction maybe ended early if I sell outside ebay.
If you are the winning high bidder, a $400 deposit is required within 24 hours, if not received, truck will be relisted.
I will need cash in hand or a cashiers check that clears the bank before handing over the keys and title, no exceptions.
For delivery . . - I can meet you at the Salt Lake City Airport for the transfer (no extra cost to you). - or I can hand the truck over to you here locally in Evanston, Wyoming. - or possibly some kind of other delivery option, but no guarantees on that.
