Vehicle description
Cash payment on pickup in Newton, Kansas. I would like the buyer to see it in person so they can see exactly what they are getting. The only trade I may possibly consider would be for a Hellcat Challenger. If you live close enough to come look, contact me. I can show it in the late afternoon/evenings or on the weekend.
This SUPER SOLID Charger would be an easy project to get on the road. Dash VIN tag, fender tag, broadcast sheet, radiator number stamping all match. Originally it came with a 383 (2 barrel) and 727 automatic transmission but the original engine/trans are missing. The previous owner was driving it with a 426 hemi and A518 overdrive auto trans. He removed and kept the 426 and hemi master cylinder but the A518 transmission, driveshaft, and 742 cased 3.23 sure grip are present. It will come with core 906 heads and a 1969 440 block that is bored .020 and ready to build. It had one repaint 30+ years ago; trunk floor is quite solid and has been wire wheeled and primed. The front and rear subframe rails, torsionbar crossmember, and cabin floors are about as solid as you can find on an unrestored Charger. The vinyl top, headliner, and carpet have been replaced in the last couple years. The seats covers are presentable (driver quality) but far from perfect. The bucket seats are missing the hardware to connect seat backs to the lower cushion frame. The console is an aftermarket shell that needs hinges/hardware/lights; the console top metal plates are just sitting on the shell. The interior smells like it was smoked in so it will need an ozone treatment. The grill is in good shape. I do not have a radiator/fan for it. The body has some hail dings but a good PDR (pointless dent repair) guy could work them out. I"ve had a PDR guy work the hail dings out of 2 other Chargers and they turned out great. The left upper quarter panel has a couple of large dents that were pulled out somewhat and filled. From the inside of the quarter you can see the evidence of pulling the quarter with studs. The engine bay was repainted several years ago; it"s not the right color but still looks good. This car is solid and the pictures show just how solid it is. It has a clear Colorado title. Great looking car in a good color and with really cool patina.
