Vehicle description

Ford F-150.YowThis F-100 Custom Cab-style truck is based on the chassis, drivetrain, and interior of a 2000 Ford F-150 Lightning, and it was customized by Sweet Brothers Restomods out of Upton, Wyoming with body parts from a 1962 Ford F-100 model. The truck is finished in blue over two-tone upholstery and is equipped with a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Additional features include bucket seats, 18″ wheels, cruise control, an AM/FM cassette sound system, and custom treatments for the headliner and door panels. This custom Lightning pickup is offered on dealer consignment with a clean Wyoming title listing the vehicle as a 1962 Ford. The body is finished in blue and features body panels, doors, and a “unibody” bed said to have been sourced from a 1962 Ford pickup. Additional modifications include a lengthening of the cab and doors, an application of body-color spray-on bedliner, Lightning graphics, and polished exhaust finishers. The seller notes visible rock chips on portions of the body.Lightning-specific 18″ wheels are mounted with older Toyo Proxes tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes, and the bed features spring-loaded box mounts according to the selling dealer. The cabin is equipped with twin bucket seats upholstered in Medium Graphite cloth with black leather inserts, and it features a convertible armrest and middle bench. Additional features include custom door panel treatments, sound deadening material, cruise control, and a Ford AM/FM cassette stereo. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames white instrument dials including a speedometer, a tachometer, and coolant temperature, oil pressure, and boost-pressure gauges. The digital odometer shows approximately 58k miles. The selling dealer notes intermittent illumination of the check engine light. The 5.4-liter Triton V8 is equipped with an Eaton supercharger, aluminum cylinder heads, and a custom-fabricated dual exhaust system. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.Additional photos are presented in the gallery below showing the suspension, chassis, and driveline, as well as underbody corrosion. The state of Wyoming assigned the truck identification number S70450W. This is the number listed as the VIN on the current Wyoming title, a photo of which is depicted above. The title lists the truck as a 1962 Ford Pickup.Photos showing various stages of the refurbishment are also presented in the gallery. The truck’s chassis was sourced from a 2000 Ford F-150 Lightning with the VIN 2FTZF0734YCA98573, and the Carfax report for that vehicle is displayed in the gallery and lists that the vehicle was declared a total loss by an insurance company in 2015 with accident damage occurring to the front, left and right side, and rear of the vehicle. California subsequently issued a Salvage Certificate for the Lightning, and it is shown in the gallery below. Also shown in the gallery is the title for the donor 1962 Ford pickup VIN F10CK314067. 1962 Ford Lightning Restomod Video will open in a new window
