Rare 48 commodore 2 door coupe. Looks like a factory chopped mercury! Looking for a killer stance for a Lead Sled? This is it! i am moving and cannot take the car with me so I reluctantly have to put it up for sale. I"ve had this car a few years now and have done a good amount to it already including:
- rebuilt all 4 wheels and brake parts - new brake lines - new master cylinder - basic wiring harness installed - had car running with a Chevy 250 inline 6 - functional lake pipes on the sides - New Coker wide whites with 0 miles on them - Lowered the rear with 2 inch blocks - Front lowered by cutting 1 coil off each - i do have the hood! just removed for pics
I have all parts to go back to stock. I do have the original 8 cylinder straight 8 engine and trans. Both need to be rebuilt.
The worst part of the car is the Passenger door needs a lot of attention. It opens and shuts but it needs rust repair on the lower section.
She is probably more a hot rod candidate than a full restoration.
The door panels and seat covers are just marine vinyl.
Comes with the original 8 cyl engine and manual transmission also the Chevy 250 which is in running condition, an older GM 3 speed manual trans and a Ford 200 and manual trans if desired.
I’m keeping the Chevy 305 that’s In the pics.
Trade for a Harley or older vintage motorcycle. Dog not included!
