One of the very best PORSCHE 944 NA around. Very Rare year - 1985.5 European, "Grey Car." That means it was built for sale in Germany and they brought it to the USA between 1985 and 1896 when Porsche was upgrading the car. Not many of these.
This is the 944 you want. So rare and runs perfectly. This car is ready for a weekend car or you can drive it every day. I just drove it from South Carolina to AZ, no problem.
VERY RARE parts and features not on USA Porsche 944"s listed below:
1) Limited-slip differential or also referred to as positraction. Both rear-wheels spin when you burn out. Cars built for the USA don"t have this. 2) Low miles 56,300. I still drive it all the time so they will go up. 3) Original FUSCH WHEELS. The wheels alone are worth a minimum of $2k. 4) Porsche script seats. The word Porsche over and over. 5) BODY KIT from the dealership when new. On in a million. You will not find another. I tried. I"ve been offered $3k for it, but it would be stupid to take it off the car. It makes the look and nobody else has one.
Perfect Interior No dash cracks, not a cover. Deep black carpet. Don"t buy a 944 unless you get one that has had the timing belt recently done. Very important and expensive job. This car has had everything done in the past 2 years and it needs nothing but a new driver! New clutch. New water pump. New timing belt. New fuel injectors. New spark plugs and distributor. New AC compressor. New battery. New front and rear shocks and struts. New tires. New Magnaflow free-flow catalytic converter. New Dansk, stainless steel exhaust. New K&N air filter. Rebuilt limited-slip differential gearbox (Not on USA 944’s). AC conversion to R134. Blows cold! ! Coolant flush. Oil swapped to Mobile 1. Recent four-wheel laser alignment. Recent tune-up. Dynomatt sound dampening in the doors. Nardi steering wheel and hub adapter. Nardi shifter knob 2 nd Tail Light Kit. See nighttime photos.
Recent compression test. Very strong. (This car has higher compression than USA 944’s). See the chart below: #1 cylinder – 169 psi #2 cylinder – 171 psi #3 cylinder – 170 psi #4 cylinder – 170 psi
