Very Rare 1980 Subaru GL, 1.6L engine, 5 speed manual transmission, FWD, coupe, manufactured in 10/79. The car has been exceptionally well maintained and is currently in great running condition. The 2 door Pillarless design make this a hard to find car. Odometer reads 263,800 miles and still going strong. The car was originally from the south and most recently has not seen winter for over 10 years. Within the past 3 years it has had, new radiator, two new CV axles, front and rear brake service including rear wheel cylinder replacement, brake fluid flush, and a complete clutch replacement (clutch disc, flywheel, pilot bearing, throw out bearing). Michelin tires with good tread left and a solid exhaust system. The original carburetor, starter,alternator, and master cylinder have been serviced and are all still original.There are no leaks and it doesn’t burn oil. Oil changes have been regularly competed with Mobil 1. The original front seats have been removed and replaced by seats from a Chevy Spark. The seats currently installed are slightly bigger than the original and has limited forward tilt making entry to the rear somewhat tight. The car was originally yellow but many years ago it was repainted red along with some body work to remove rust. The radio is not currently working but is repairable and the antenna has been removed. Air conditioning is not installed. The car runs fine but the carburetor needs either a tune up or a repair kit to help with easier starting. The moon roof does not leak but has not been used in many years. The dash has cracks and is covered with a custom fit cover. The rear seat has been repaired on the top section, has some wear on the lower section and the rear seat belts are removed. Original Owner’s manual and service booklet included.
