Up for bidding is a very rare Bob Hess Easyrod 1951 "Shoebox" Ford resto-mod conversion. This modification was professionally done, and included the interior upgrade package. When originally done, this conversion was about $15,000. These are very rare, and most these are of a "49 or "50 Ford. This has the highly desired "51 "Dual Bullet" grill, the only year that Ford ever made one. This is a car for someone who doesn"t mind a little attention, as you are the car show, everywhere you go.
The car had been in storage for awhile, it was brought out and given a complete set of 4 brand new tires, a brand new battery, and fresh synthetic oil. The customizing was done a few years ago, and the clear coat now has some peeling. All of the glass is good. All of the power option work as they should. The a/c is ICE COLD. The V8 engine runs strong, it always starts right up, goes down the road straight, and produced stares the whole time. The "51 body parts are all fiberglass, and in good shape. The only issues would be that both rocker panels do have some rust, and a couple of the chrome grill pieces have some pitting. All in all, It"s a very very solid car, that you can drive back home with no worries. Just see the pictures. Also include in the sale are a brand new pair of power remote outside mirrors, both right and left. Just in case someone wanted to convert back to factory mirrors, as the custom builder opted for the retro fender mirror look. This is a NO RESERVE auction.
