Here is a very rare Ford pickup for sale. A 1942 1/2 ton short box. Very nice and very solid body and solid underside as well. The 226 flathead V-8 runs great. Starts right up and drives well. Brakes are good. The 3-speed on the floor transmission shifts well and the cute little truck is really fun to drive. The headlights and taillights work. The gauges work. The horn works. Both door windows roll up and down. Both doors open and shut tightly. The hood opens easily and stays up when opened. The cowl vent ( I call it the old-time A/C) opens and closes. The 1 wiper does not work. The e-brake is weak. Doesn"t hold on much of an incline. The tires are fairly new General radials with lots of tread. The original hubcaps are good. As far as I know there is nothing missing. The glass is good. The seat is in good shape and is comfortable. The exhaust is great sounding and is fairly new. A newer style dual master cylinder was added for better braking. New belts. New fuel pump. Recent waterpumps. I have the 2 missing grill bars plus extras. As you can see in the pictures, this neat little, rare, "42 Ford is a cool art-deco style fun cruiser.
