2004 Dodge Ram SRT10 Viper truck, six speed manual, Dana 60 rear.
I bought the truck twelve years ago with a rebuilt title, as the truck looked and drove great. I have put over a 100K miles on the truck with out any issues other than regular maintenance . I have always used Mobil 1 full synthetic oil and Mopar oil filters, GL5 in trans, and synthetic oil in rear end.
I installed a high performance clutch a few years ago, and had the 6 spd transmission fully rebuilt while it was out. I also upgraded to the Viper car style clutch slave and master at that time
I had the truck repainted in the original color a few years ago due to fading, chips, nicks, etc
I added a larger throttle body several years ago, original throttle body is included
Original air cleaner box is still present, with a K&N drop in filter
I had a pistol grip shifter adapted to fit in place of the stock shifter, original shifter is included
I installed new Magnaflow mufflers a few months ago, catalytic converters are still in place with oxygen sensors so truck is still emissions legal. Sounds nice, but not too loud
I installed a hi performance 93 octane tune from Torries Tunes, the hand held programmer with the original factory tune saved comes with the truck. There is another tune saved for 91 octane, but you would have to reload the factory tune for emissions testing
Truck runs great, no smoke, no leaks, no overheating, uses no oil
I replaced the coolant every three years to prevent corrosion, as the truck has an all aluminum engine
I just replaced the serpentine accessory belt with a new Mopar belt, which I have done every few years
All the miles I put on this truck were back and forth to work, cruising on the highway at 1500 rpms in sixth gear. My commute is 160 miles round trip, all highway. Truck was never abused by me, always properly maintained
Highway mileage was typically 17.5 mpg at 70 mph
Interior is in excellent condition, no cracks in dash, driver seat has some wear of course, but no rips, tears, cracks, carpet still looks good.
General tires in the correct size are installed on the factory wheels, and still have good tread remaining
I recently installed LED taillights, and neon outlined projector headlights, Fog lights are yellow, but one of the bulbs is out
I added drilled and slotted front brake rotors and high performance brake pads a few years ago, but will probably need redone in the near future, pads are okay for now though
A/C blows super cold, heat works great, radio and CD player work good too. Sound system is excellent in these trucks
Rear wing is not installed, and was missing when I bought the truck. Previous owner removed it as he wanted to use the bed for moving boxes for inventory for his business. He could not find the spoiler, so I bought a used one, but never installed it. If I can find it I will include it in the sale, but it would need painted as it is yellow in color
I installed the stainless bed rails as I liked the look, they have minor corrosion near the bases, but still look good
Truck has always been under cover since I owned it, not left out in the weather, truck turns heads, always have people asking about it!
Only reason I am selling this truck is I finally broke down and bought a new Dodge Ram. Who ever buys this truck will love it, it’s just a great truck!
