For sale is my lovely little 2017 Ram Promaster City Tradesman. He’s called “Stanley The Vanley”. The van has 3k miles. That’s correct, just a little over 3,000 miles. I’m a little sad at selling him to be honest, but he’s not getting the use I imagined he would get, and mainly sits in the garage doing nothing.
I bought this van last year, it had been involved in an accident on the dealer’s lot and had been declared a loss by the insurance company. The van went into an insurance “limbo” for a couple of years while the dealership and the insurance company argued back and forth. Eventually the insurance company paid out, the dealership bought the van from them, and I lucked out and managed to buy it from them. The van was very lightly damaged on the the rear driver’s side. I have pictures of it before it was repaired, and I"m happy to send them to anybody who wants to see them.
Unfortunately, because the insurance company did pay out (and because the van was so new) they issued a salvage certificate. I had the repairs done and then had the van inspected by the CHP and the California DMV and was issued a California salvage title in my name.
Registration is good until August 2022.
The van obviously runs and drives like brand new. Everything works as it’s supposed to. No lights on the dashboard, passes smog easily, no funny business here.
These little vans are extremely popular here and in Europe and are impossible to get at the moment, thanks to the van life movement.
Comes with everything, and I mean everything. Original window sticker (which was never mounted), two keys, all books and manuals, full unused and unopened tool kit. Also has an Australian ROLA roof rack with all keys.
It’s a pretty loaded little van. See list below.
Recently serviced at the dealer with full synthetic oil change and was fitted with a brand new 12v battery.
Only flaws are a small crack in a rear light, a tiny stone chip on the windscreen (not anywhere in your line of sight) and a dent in the front bumper where I moved forward into a car with a tow hitch.
I am asking $23k for Stanley. Yes, I know he has a salvage title. But try finding one this nice with this low mileage anywhere else.
