Vehicle description
2021 Hyundai Kona ELECTRIC SEL. Good luck finding one of these in North Carolina. Brought directly from a dealership. Charging cycles have been tested and verified on delivery trip. Comes with its own level 1 charger which honestly is adequate depending on your driving style and needs. I drove it around 680 miles or so for delivery. I had a free $10 dollar coupon from the Charge-point network for opening an account, so It literally cost me only $13 to charge up on the journey and I had plenty miles left upon arriving home. Brass tax was around .036 cents a mile. When is the last time you traveled to the Canadian border for only $13 clams! you can buy alot of Clamato juice with those savings.
The delivery trip was like driving on a cloud. Vehicle has quick torque . The regenerative braking has 3 settings on it which helps with in route charging. Due to the regenerative braking aspect of the vehicle I ended up not really having to use the brake pedal. It also has all the safety bells and whistles you might want. For example lane assist front crash warning etc.
There are plenty of DC charges in the RTP area when and if needed. I live in Rougemont NC , a little north of Durham NC, where the vehicle is stored.
64 kWh is what is needed to completely fill the battery from 0.
Home electricity In Durham county is currently .102 kWh
i.e. $6.528 to fill up
The average continual travel range is 270 miles depending on driving style and use of accessories. The range is often more than that if attempting to max out.
This article illustrates how testers got 600 miles out of it , albeit under absurd conditions
https:/ www.greencarreports.com/news/1129281_hyundai-kona-electric-goes-more-than-600-miles-if-you-go-20-mph
The most I"ve seen charged by private companies so far while on the go out and about is .30kWH . Remember there are a lot of free stations out there as well and most people charge at home using their local utility rates.
Feel free to make an offer or email with questions.
