Vehicle description

Vehicle Details 1967 Pontiac GTO - The Great One. A true-blue 242 coded car, NOT a converted Tempest/LeMans tribute. This is a Fremont CA, Z-coded production coupe in mid-restoration. Fantastic base to build your Pro-Touring dream car or keep it as an original type, grand daddy of all muscle. The build sheet was not available but this is a low-option car with a Dearborn 3-speed manual, no AC, manual windows and 4-wheel drum brakes. It was equipped with a 4-barrel Qjet from the factory for real performance. Restoration details - Professionally painted with Spies-Hecker in factory GM 'LeMans Blue', all original sheet metal is on this car except the taillight panel and the rear window mounting channel which were also professionally installed. All sheet metal work was completed by the same paint shop by experienced hands and it shows well. This paint looks very good now and it still hasn't been given the final cut-buff yet so it will really pop once that is finished. Original unrestored interior in Parchment White is included but requires full replacement. All original glass and trim included as well. Bumpers and transmission are not pictured but included. Original 400ci engine has been given it's first-over rebuild at 4.155" bore, leaving plenty of meat on the walls. JE Pistons, Eagle rods and a SCAT 4" stroke crank yields 434ci of displacement. Block was cryo-dipped before final hone and professional assembly. RAIII heads were ported by SD Performance and matched to the ported stock type spread-bore intake. Stainless roller-rockers and premium Hy-Lift Johnson lifters ensure this will be a 7-Liter Hemi eater. Custom Bullet Camshaft was spec'd to yield a street-friendly but aggressive powerband perfectly suited to the bore-stroke and compression. Expectation is that this will make 500-550 ft-lbs and 480-500HP at up to 6000-6200rpm. a 1976, 800CFM Buick Quadrajet carb was rebuilt by Cliff Ruggles to support this combination with the intent of keeping the sound and feel of 1967 intact, but better performing in every way. All OEM suspension, rear-end and steering and brakes are in place for you to either service and keep or replace with items of your choice. Original wiring harnesses and connectors are present and included, as are original trim and emblems. A fantastic base to kick-start your build, this is a solid, 100% California clean car that will be sure to impress. Contact me for any more detailed photos or information and bid to win.
