1958 Airstream Custom 22’. 2900 lbs This Airstream was custom designed by its first owner in 1958 using the design elements from the Airstream Caravanner, the Airstream Safari and the Airstream Flying Cloud. This floor plan became the Sleep Two in 1959 then it went on to be the “standard” floor plan of the Airstream Flying Cloud through the 60’s. It was also built with all the international features. The “ghost numbers” from the WBCC are 1958 and were issued in 1958. It was restored in 2018 but wasn’t used until 2020 (more upgrades done then)so this trailer is camp ready with all systems go. Excellent spacious entertaining layout with extra area for pets or children to play. Great care was taken to keep this unique trailer as original as possible while adding many modern amenities. EXTERIOR Exterior has been polished as have the front tanks but could probably use a touch up. Door in door feature is great All windows have been restored and work beautifully. Spring step is present and works flawlessly. LED marker lights Air unit works great and it also has a fantastic fan and an astrodome vent. 2 Coker whitewall tires make this beauty beam. Bumper holds a spare tire nicely Inside you’ll find custom upholstered couches/ beds with curtains, shower curtain and pillows to match. Appliance colors are done in apple green and match the beautiful green Berber carpet. Dometic 2 way refrigerator (electric and lp). There’s storage galore in this unit with a huge double door wardrobe and a bank of deep kitchen cabinet drawers. Add the underbed drawers and this unit has more storage than any other I’ve seen. The electric, dc and lp all work great. The heater is very effective. Most of the plumbing was upgraded and the hot water heater was replaced in 2020. The cabinets and woodwork are all original. I could never decide weather I wanted to paint them, reface them, or stain them but they do need something as they are original. Custom matching Sunbrella awning and 2 chairs with matching material included! The stated weight on this trailer is 2900 lbs and it truly tows like it’s not even there. This trailer sat previously on the showroom floor of the famous Gulley Collection and as such I have several wonderful photos and videos to share when requested. Transportation can be easily arranged at buyers expense. I have a Clear Oklahoma Title in my name and a professional appraisal on hand for $62,430, far less than my set reserve.
